Songstress Anita Baker wants the public to know she’s good and grown. She wants to make it very clear that she has the ear of many fans, that she shuts down concert halls despite glitches in the matrix—and that her faith in God is unbroken. Baker wants folks to know she is a GOAT.
On Twitter, the Detroit native posted:

Baker even shared a bit of banter with several followers who responded with praise and spoke to the “Tech issues” that occurred at her performance. Jodi Watley showed homage in her emoji response:

The “Giving You The Best That I Got” tweeted her perspective May 11, after a day of social media criticism that stemmed from a post singer/songwriter Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds made on Instagram, apologizing to fans who did not get to see him perform as the opening act for Baker’s concert stop in Newark, New Jersey.
Thousands of social media users and singer celebrities banded around Babyface, sending love and sharing regards.
“We love you, brother” DJ D Nice commented.
Powerhouse songstress Stephanie Mills responded,
“Love you Babyface you can come with me!”
In a second response she continued:
“I hate when this happens amongst our people. We should be thankful that people are still paying to come to our shows. We’re not kids anymore. This makes me really sad to see and read this.”
Among support for the multitalented producer, there was speculation around Baker’s alleged history of lateness, difficulty and diva behavior. Quite a bit of shade and side eyes riddled. Babyface’s comments section. A number of Baker fans defended her honor against slander around her name.
“I find it weird how they just took baby face position and back? And don’t even know why Anita made her decision.”
“It’s funny to me all those comments are by WOMEN blindly supporting a man without questioning where Ms. Anita was coming from or even the behind the scenes of it all.
