*Fans of Anita Baker turned to social media to slam the singer after her concert in Atlanta on Mother’s Day weekend was canceled.
Concertgoers were left angry and critical of Baker’s repeatedly “unprofessional” behavior after the 7 pm show at State Farm Arena was canceled at 6:54 p.m.
“Due to late, unforeseen circumstances, tonight’s ‘An Evening with Anita Baker’ event featuring eight-time Grammy Award–winning superstar Anita Baker set to take place at State Farm Arena has been cancelled,” the email sent by the organizers read, The Hindustan Times reports.
“Refunds will be returned at the point of purchase,” the email continued.
Many fans promptly took to social media to criticize Baker for abruptly canceling her performance without a reason.
Speaking honestly and respectfully, I see why Anita Baker didn’t tour for so many years because perhaps, she shouldn’t have been. It’s not just today, but there have been multiple cancelled, postponed, or late shows since her tour started.
I feel like she may have felt… https://t.co/WbnOHYYDsO
