Basketball is a game that is enjoyed by many, with some fans taking their love for the game, players and team they are rooting for to heart. That sometimes means a bit of sports trash talking.
During the NBA Finals, several Boston Celtics fans took trash talk to a whole different level. Pins and T-shirts aimed at Stephen Curry’s wife, Ayesha Curry, that had been created in advance were distributed during the game. The items were designed to attack Curry’s cooking abilities. The wording on the pins and T-shirts was: “Ayesha Curry Can’t Cook.”
Ayesha Curry clapped Back at Boston Celtics fans
This all stems from a Boston bar named Game On! which first took aim at the chef’s cooking skills. Steph initially responded by wearing a shirt saying that his wife can cook in game 5 but after winning the NBA Finals, the couple teamed up to troll the entire New England town.
Ayesha Curry clapped back on Twitter and Instagram at Boston Celtics fans for the nasty trash talk toward her. After her husband, basketball player Stephen Curry, and his team, the Golden State Warriors, took home the NBA Finals win for the fourth time in eight years on Thursday, June 16, the proud wife decided to get some things off her chest.
She had gotten her hands on one of the pins and posted on her Instagram story, “These were being handed out, managed to get my hands on a few.” Hubby Stephen Curry managed to get his hands on a T-shirt. The four-ring champion posted a photo of him holding up the shirt with his right hand and holding up the champion trophy in his left and wrote, “Bye Boston! [female and male chef emojis].”
Ayesha re-posted the photo on her story and said,”[laughing emojis](my champ).”
The chef also decided to fire back at fans on Twitter. She wrote, “On the menu tonight: SF Hot Pie with a side of Curry GOAT.”
