In the blockbuster trade of this season, the Texans have acquired four-time Pro Bowl receiver Stefon Diggs from the Buffalo Bills for a 2025 second-round draft pick.
This move now headlines an offseason of significant offensive upgrades after the Texans also added Cincinnati Bengals’ running back Joe Mixon, giving second-year quarterback C.J. Stroud an improved ground attack and receiving corp for the upcoming season.
In addition to the Diggs, the Texans will receive the Bills’ sixth-round pick this year and their fifth-rounder in 2025.
Diggs, 30, comes to Houston after four spectacular seasons in Buffalo, where he was Josh Allen’s top receiving target. But changes at offensive coordinators this past season saw Diggs’ production drop and his frustration grow.
Diggs, who was previously traded from Minnesota to Buffalo, had 5,372 yards and 37 touchdowns in four seasons with the Bills.
Now, Diggs teams with young receivers Nico Collins and Tank Dell to give the Texans arguably the best receiving trio in the NFL this upcoming season. Toss in tight end Dalton Schultz and the Texans could be the toughest team to cover this season.
