Maybe THIS is how you’re supposed to do a reboot?
Although most of us are in reboot fatigue at this point, BET has opted to add one more to the plate … but with a twist. The Eddie Murphy led comedy Boomerang is being resurrected, not as a film this time, but as “a half-hour comedy from Paramount Television exploring ‘contemporary workplace dynamics, including the changing role of gender, office politics, relationships and the conflicts between Generation X and millennials’.” this according the The Hollywood Reporter.
In addition to Murphy, the 90s classic also starred Halle Berry, Robin Givens, Martin Lawrence and David Alan Grier, with an honorable mention performance by Chris Rock. So, with an A-list line-up like that it’s only natural that fans would want to see some familiar faces in the reboot, but will they?
