(Black PR Wire) Washington, D.C. – The 2025 Inauguration Peace Ball: Voices of Justice and Liberation, hosted by Busboys and Poets, will take place on January 18, 2025 from 8:00 PM to Midnight at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. This formal gala will bring together the largest gathering of progressives during the upcoming inaugural weekend.
This year’s Peace Ball is an opportunity to amplify voices of justice and liberation. The peacemakers and changemakers who work tirelessly over the years to make the planet more livable. This gathering is not about an election or a moment, it is about celebrating successes, big and small, over the past years and recommitting to continue the fight for social justice, equality and liberation for all.
A Night of Unity and Resistance
“The Peace Ball is a call to action,” said Andy Shallal, founder and owner of Busboys and Poets. “In the face of uncertainty, we stand together to resist tyranny and to reaffirm that our work for justice continues beyond an election.” I am inspired by the words of Ella Baker who said, “We who believe in freedom cannot rest until it comes.”
