Curry Brand has officially announced that Sacramento Kings guard De’Aaron Fox’s new signature sneakers, the Curry Fox 1, will hit shelves this holiday season. The first colorway, “Happy Fox Day,” will arrive Dec. 6.
In October 2023, Fox signed with Curry Brand, an Under Armour brand, to become the company’s first signature athlete. Fox will be the first athlete besides brand president and Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry to get a signature sneaker with the brand.

The Curry Fox 1 is a low-cut basketball shoe heavily influenced by some of Under Armour’s running shoes. A lightweight, two-toned mesh and midfoot strap separate the sneaker from other basketball shoes. The strap takes the shape of a fox’s tail, playing into Fox’s last name and creating more storytelling possibilities with future colorways.
Fox’s logo plays upon his “Swipa” nickname — a reference to Swiper the Fox from the children’s show Dora the Explorer — by shaping a fox into the form of the letter D, his jersey No. 5 and his last name. The shoe features Under Armour’s patented Flow technology on the sole for traction and stability.

The launch colorway combines blue and orange with hints of gold to represent Fox’s love of Christmas and his favorite holiday movie, Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey.
Two additional versions of the Fox 1 will arrive later in December. The “Happy Fox Day Alternate” colorway uses a deep green, gold accents and rich textures. It will be released on Dec. 20, which is also Fox’s birthday.
On Dec. 27, “The Beam” colorway will be available as a tribute to the Kings and their fans. A mix of light and dark purples with pops of neon green, “The Beam” is inspired by the team’s famous chant and rallying cry, “Light the Beam,” and its tradition of lighting the beam after a victory.

“Creating the Fox 1 alongside the Curry Brand team has been an incredible experience and a real dream come true,” Fox said in a news release. “Together, we created a sneaker that not only performs at the highest level on the court but truly feels authentic to me in its design and every detail.”
Curry echoed Fox’s sentiments about crafting the Fox 1. “De’Aaron made sure that he was involved with every step of the process,” Curry said in the news release. “From the sketches and wear-testing to developing the various colorways, this whole process is a fun journey, especially when you’re working on creating your first signature shoe. He took his own approach with it in the Fox 1 and made it his own, adding his personal touches with his background and his story.”

Fox is a seven-year NBA veteran and NBA All-Star for the Sacramento Kings. He is coming off a career-high average of 27 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals last season. Fox looks to lead the Kings back to the postseason this year after falling short in the play-in tournament in the 2023 season.
