Cardi B Gets an Apology From Tasha K
celebrity blogger Latasha Kebe, known as Tasha K, has finally issued an apology to Cardi B, following her filing an appeal of the $4 million defamation verdict in the rapper’s case against her. Cardi B sued Kebe last year for remarks made on her YouTube channel regarding drug usage, prostitution and STIs.
In a post on Instagram, Tasha K posted about losing the appeal with a line apologizing briefly to Cardi with the caption, “Talk about a check my mouth can’t cash!!”
Attorney Ben Crump Represents Family of Victim From GloRilla Concert Stampede
Notable civil rights attorney Ben Crump has agreed to represent the family of Aisha Haskins-Stephens, who died during a deadly stampede at a GloRilla and Finesse 2Tymes concert several weeks ago in Rochester, NY.
“It is disturbing that after the deaths caused by a crowd stampede at the Astroworld Festival, more precautions have not been taken at concert venues. Aisha’s death was completely preventable, and we are calling for transparency from Main Street Armory, GloRilla, and event staff as the investigation into how this tragedy transpired continues,” said Crump in a statement.
Rhondesia Belton and Brandy Miller also died during the concert and seven others were injured.
FAMU Alum Becomes First Neurosurgeon at Vanderbilt University
Florida A&M University graduate Dr. Tamia Potter has made history. Upon her recent graduation from Case Western Reserve University, Potter matched at Vanderbilt University Medical Center for their neuroscience residency program. She is the first Black woman in the institution’s 150-year history. On Twitter, she shared, “My first job was a certified nursing assistant at 17 years old in 2014. Today on March 17th, 2023 I was blessed to be selected as the first African American female neurosurgery resident to train at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.”
