Excessively Armed White Man Arrested on the Campus of North Carolina A&T

Over the weekend, a man was arrested on the campus of North Carolina A&T State University for being heavily armed. When approached by campus police, he was in a state of agitation and claimed that he was “terrified of being kidnapped by a religious cult he found through social media.” Many students say that they were upset that the school did not notify them of someone being on campus with numerous rounds of ammunition and artillery. The man was released on a $10,000 bond on Monday.

Black Man’s Death at a Virginia Hospital Ruled a Homicide

The death of 28-year-old Irvo Otieno at Central State Hospital in Petersburg, Virginia has been ruled a homicide. Via video surveillance, Otieno is seen being restrained by law enforcement officers minutes before his passing. Additionally, seven law enforcement officers and three hospital employees have been charged with second-degree murder.
