Ja Morant Suspended for at Least Two Games

After brandishing a gun while on an Instagram Live, Memphis Grizzles player Ja Morant has been suspended from at least two games and indefinitely benched from playing. This comes after the many questionable decisions the NBA star has made over the past few weeks in his personal and professional life. An additional investigation has been launched, and many sports icons such as Jalen Rose have implored that Morant gets the necessary help to turn his situation around.

Morant released a statement apologizing for his actions and vowing to get the necessary help. “I take full responsibility for my actions last night. I’m sorry to my family, teammates, coaches, fans, partners, the city of Memphis and the entire Grizzlies organization for letting you down. I’m going to take some time away to get help and work on learning better methods of dealing with stress and my overall well-being,” he said.

Nicki Minaj Starts New Record Label

Nicki Minaj shared that she is launching a new record label at Republic Records on the most recent episode of Queen Radio. Although the name of the label was not released, the “Anaconda” rapper stated that she already has a roster of talent, including Nana Fofie, Tate Kobang, Rico Danna and London Hill. Minaj’s long-time friend Patty Lauren will be handling A&R.

Actor Isaiah Washington Announces Retirement

Isaiah Washington, most known for his role on Grey’s Anatomy, has announced his retirement from acting. In a tweet, he shared that the “haters have won.”

Washington had a disgraceful exit from Grey’s Anatomy for calling his co-star a homophobic slur while on set in 2007. His last role was as Mayor Tydell Ruffin in P-Valley. Days after his retirement announcement, Washington announced a GoFundMe for a million-dollar movie project he is working.
