Law Roach Announces His Retirement
Stylist and British Vogue’s West Coast editor Law Roach announced his retirement today. In an Instagram post, he shared his reasonings for stepping away from the fashion world. “If this business was just about the clothes I would do it for the rest of my life but unfortunately it’s not! The politics, the lies and false narratives finally got me! You win … I’m out.” Many responded to the announcement with uplifting words and offerings of support should he need it.
Drake and 21 Savage Reveal 2023 World Tour
Rappers Drake and 21 Savage released dates for their upcoming world tour “It’s All A Blur.” The two released a collaborative album called Her Loss last year. The 29-date arena tour is in conjunction with Cash App, Visa and Sprite while being produced by Live Nation. This is Drake’s first headlining tour since his 2018 run with the Migos. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, March 15, 2023.
Venus Williams Aids Efforts to Save Nina Simone’s Childhood Home
Tennis legend Venus Williams has co-curated a fundraiser to protect and save singer and activist Nina Simone’s childhood home. The benefit gala and art auction will contribute to efforts to establish Simone’s home as a “national treasure.” Artists Adam Pendleton, Rashid Johnson, Julie Mehretu and Ellen Gallagher purchased the singer’s North Carolina home in 2018 and are working with Williams in this work. The National Trust’s African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund, Pace Gallery, and Sotheby’s are partners in the fundraising benefit and art auction as well.
