Charges Dropped Against Trey Songz as He Takes A Plea Deal
After accumulating a hefty rap sheet of assault charges over the last several years, singer Trey Songz (née Tremaine Neverson) has taken a plea deal in the case of his disorderly conduct at a bowling alley in New York. In November 2022, Songz was accused of physically assaulting a woman at a bowling alley. She claimed that she was dragged by the hair and had to visit a hospital to tend to her injuries. As a result of taking the deal, ten of the original charges against him have been dropped. The artist must take twelve anger management courses to compensate for his actions.
His attorney Mitchell Schuster said, “We appreciate the New York law enforcement and the District Attorney’s office for their comprehensive investigation and careful consideration of all evidence, which ultimately confirmed what we had known all along and resulted in the District Attorney’s office choosing not to pursue any of the original charges against our client.”
