Maegan Hall – La Vergne Police Department

*Maegan Hall, the former Tennessee cop previously accused of promiscuity in the workplace, is not taking it lying down, so to speak. A “Rolling Stone” report states that she has filed a lawsuit against the city of La Vergne and three of her superior officers. In the legal documents, the married police officer who was accused of sleeping with multiple coworkers now alleges that she was “sexually groomed.”

Hall now says she was vulnerable in a department dominated by much older men and that she was subjected to constant objectification and harassment. Her fellow department members threatened to make her lose her job if she refused to give in to their sexual advancements, she claims.

Because of this experience, Hall underwent periods of self-harm and had to be hospitalized in December 2022. The lawsuit further states that she had sought mentorship but ended up with harm.

“Where Ms. Hall sought role models at her new job, she instead found predators,” the legal document reads. “In place of offering professional development, her supervisors and the chief of police groomed her for sexual exploitation.”

Following the discovery of her sexual misconduct at the workplace, Hall was terminated in January alongside LPD chief, Burrel “Chip” Davis and Sergeants Henry “Ty” McGowan and Lewis Powell. She has named all these officers in her lawsuit.

When the story of Hall made headlines and she was fired, her face went viral. It was used in photoshopped pornography and social media memes. Her face became the butt of viral social media jokes and harassment. She had nowhere to hide. She managed to get another job at a local restaurant, but she soon lost it because of the “extreme degree of publicity.”

An investigation by the police department she served uncovered uncomfortable truths about her and other officers, namely Larry Holladay, Patrick Magliocco, Ty McGowan, Juan Lugo-Perez, Gavin Schoeberl, and Detective Seneca Shields. It was this investigation that led to terminations.

In the lawsuit recently filed, Hall claims Davis once asked her to come to his office to “dance” for him. He also tried to get her to agree to “lunch dates” and constantly described her clothing as “hot girl summer sh–t.”

According to sources, Hall seeks lost wages, medical expenses, mental suffering, emotional distress, and “reputational harm.”
