Maternal healthcare tech innovator Emagine Solutions Technology has announced an exciting new integration with Fitbit. The transformative collaboration will allow pregnant users of Emagine’s The Journey Pregnancy App to better track and monitor their maternal health via Fitbit devices, empowering them along their pregnancy journey.
Addressing Maternal Mortality Disparities
Statistics show that women of color in the U.S. are three times more likely to experience maternal mortality than white women. After experiencing a near-death experience post-partum, Courtney Williams co-founded Emagine Solutions Technology, an award-winning healthcare technology company. Empowering Pregnant Women with Enhanced Health Monitoring

To activate the integration, users simply download the Fitbit app and connect it to the device, then follow the prompt to provide permission to The Journey Pregnancy app. This creates a centralized, seamless experience and record of their health in the app, while also providing access to research-backed health information about pregnancy and postpartum topics and health alerts when users’ data is out of range.
The app is also able to track and share health trends with doctors – such as mood, blood pressure, and blood glucose, and share Important insights on pregnancy complications as they develop – such as hypertension and gestational diabetes – all with resources on managing these conditions in the pregnancy and postpartum period. Lastly, it is also able to share your health trends with your physician between appointments (requires physician opt-in)
Building on Previous Partnerships
The Journey Pregnancy’s Fitbit integration follows a recent partnership with Withings Health Solutions to give pregnant users of Emagine’s The Journey Pregnancy App access to premium blood pressure monitoring tools. For Emagine, both efforts are integral in achieving its mission of positively impacting maternal mortality.
