With everything that’s occurred in terms of pop culture so far in 2024 — Kendrick vs. Drake, the presidential rise of Kamala Harris, the cultural takeover of Katt Williams — you can bet your buck that we would’ve had side-splitting commentary for all of it by way of the incomparable Wendy Williams.
Sadly, as viewers saw in the eye-opening Lifetime docu-series Where Is Wendy Williams? that aired back in February, the once-reigning queen of daytime television is currently battling a double diagnosis of dementia and primary progressive aphasia.
However, things appear to be looking up for the media maven after photos recently surfaced of her for the first time in months looking healthy and in the company of family by way of her son, Kevin Hunter Jr.

Details are scarce about her current health conditions or reason for the outing, but it appears she and Kevin Jr. were shopping at African Bio Mineral Cell Food in Newark, New Jersey sometime last week. The man seen in both photos with them appears to be the late Dr. Sebi’s son, Victor Bowman. Based on the nature of the shop alone, we can only assume Williams is taking the herbalist approach in her current health journey.
Sebi, who died of pneumonia back in 2016 in circumstances that still seem sketchy, notoriously practiced herbal healing that survives through his nutritional program, Dr. Sebi’s Cell Food. The shop in Newark appears to follow the same regime and even sell his branded products. African Bio Mineral Cell Food specifically offers supplements in the alkaline diet from legumes and nutrient-rich superfoods to vitality-boosting seasonings.
As more people caught wind of the photo on social media, a general sense of excitement and prayers of good luck in the road to recovery for Williams all soon followed. We’ll reserve the big cheers for when Williams herself is willing and able to do so on her own time, but the quick check-in is definitely welcomed nonetheless.
