Harlem High-schooler Gifted $60K Scholarship by Knicks

*Well now, talk about doin’ good in the ‘hood. That’s truly the case because on Monday (03-27-23)  the New York Knicks surprised a high school senior from Harlem with a life-changing scholarship before Monday’s game.

The lucky and honored student who is the recipient of the team’s and the Garden of Dreams Foundation’s largesse is 18-year-old Bri Butler. She was gifted with a $60,000 scholarship to be used toward whichever Historically Black College or University she chooses to attend.

Butler has to option to choose a future alma mater because she’s been accepted to seven HBCU schools and plans to play basketball on her college team.
