*We caught up with Roc Nation rapper HDBeenDope to unpack his massive year and upcoming new music with GRAMMY-award-winning producer Pluss.
In the past year, HDBeenDope has skyrocketed as a top artist to watch and had many partnership deals, including with MLB, NBA, and NFL for their Songs of the Season launch.
The hip-hop artist collaborated with the LA Dodgers for a music deal and the Brooklyn Nets for their Crossover collection/campaign.
In a 2022 interview, the New York native said his approach to music “comes from the place that everybody feels, you know, when you get to that point of, ‘All right yo, n-ggas got me fucked up,’” HD told HipHopDX.
“When you get to that point, and that’s for whatever, somebody says something to you wrong at work, and it’s like, ‘Nah.’ You know what I mean? You’re at that point of telling people, ‘Stop playing with me,’” he added.
The rising star’s debut track for Roc Nation, “Mamba” has been shared by celebs including Tia Mowry, Jimmy Butler, Patrick Mahomes, and LeBron James. Major networks like ESPN, and sports stadiums have also celebrated the song, according to the press release.
“Mamba” has garnered over 276M streams (mainly from Instagram/Facebook reels).
This year saw HD collaborate with “New York platinum music producer Dizzy Banko, Harlem rapper Fergie Baby and the Bronx’s Connie Diiamond, and he shared stages with fellow Brooklyn-ite, Lola Brooke,” per the release.
