Three Detroit rappers, Montoya Givens, Armani Kelly, and Dante Wicker, have been missing since Jan. 21. Initially, according to media reports, the rappers had a show at local venue, Lounge 31, but it was later canceled.

Kelly last checked in with his mother, Lorrie Kemp, on Jan. 21 around 5 pm. Kemp later filed the missing persons report on Jan. 22. On Jan. 23, Kemp tracked her vehicle through OnStar, and it was found in Warren, Michigan. Still, no signs of Kelly or his comrades, Givens and Wicker.

Detroit Police Cmdr. Michael McGinnis told reporters the DPD had launched a multi-agency investigation on the rappers’ disappearance.

“It’s our understanding that the performance got canceled,” McGinnis told reporters. “And from there we just have a whole lot of unanswered questions that we are trying to figure out.

McGinnis added, “The mother of one of the victims, the next day, made a report of the missing person. That mother, [Kemp], became very proactive in the investigation and started searching for her vehicle through OnStar.”

According to McGinnis, all of their phones ceased activity by the early morning of Jan. 22.

Kemp has posted flyers in the Lansing area to find her 28-year-old son. She also told reporters she didn’t think her son was alive.

“I want to lay him to rest and try to move on,” Kemp said. “I don’t want to be on ‘Dateline’ in 20 years to find his body.”

Recently, Kanye West was reportedly missing in action for a couple of weeks, according to a Jewish News Syndicate report. Reports later revealed that he was found in Ghana at the Black Star Line Festival with Vic Mensa and Chance The Rapper.
