Jamie Foxx recently showcased his lyrical prowess in a captivating freestyle video shared on Instagram. While shooting commercials in Las Vegas, Foxx took to the mic behind a gold drum machine and rapped about being in Miami and feeling like Uncle Luke.

In his new freestyle, Jamie Foxx raps about being in Miami and feeling like 2 Live Crew’s Uncle Luke. Foxx stated:

“..Last night I was in Miami, I was on my Uncle Luke, Feeling like I won a Grammy…” 

The video excited fans as they marveled at Foxx’s skillful flow and undeniable talent. The freestyle also featured the Multi-talented entertainer’s collaborator and brother, Breyon Prescott, who couldn’t help but praise the renowned artist. 

Prescott delivered a caption to the video, stating:

 “THIS IS HOW WE HAVE MADE SO MANY #1 HITS TOGETHER. ‘MILLIONS OF RECORDS SOLD !!! MY BROTHER @iamjamiefoxx IS TRULY THE MOST GIFTED INDIVIDUAL THAT I HAVE EVER WORKED WITH, SO BLESSED TO HAVE HIM BACK !!! THE BEST PART ABOUT HIM IS HE HAS ALWAYS TRUSTED ME !!!’”

In a heartfelt three-minute video message over the weekend, Foxx took a moment to express:

“I just didn’t want you to see me like that … I didn’t want you to see me with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was going to make it through,” Foxx said, thanking his daughter, sister, God and medical professionals for saving his life. 

Foxx kept his health condition private during his recovery, wanting his fans to remember him in a positive light—laughing and having a good time. He shared that he didn’t want his admirers to see him in such a vulnerable state with tubes running out of him. Instead, he focused on the journey to regain his health and return to what he loves most—entertaining audiences with his immense talents.

Despite facing obstacles during his recovery, Foxx is returning to work and is now making a triumphant comeback. He bravely acknowledged that there might be moments when fans could see him in tears, as his journey has been filled with challenges and triumphs.

During an interview on the BET Awards red carpet, Porscha Coleman, who stars alongside Jamie Foxx in the film Dad Stop Embarrassing Me!, shared an update on Foxx’s recovery. Coleman revealed that she has been in contact with individuals close to Foxx and reassured fans that he is doing well.

Despite Foxx’s medical scare, filming for Back In Action has resumed, with Parker filling in for the actor during his recovery. On April 27, paparazzi spotted Parker and actress Cameron Diaz filming a scene. 

TMZ reports that Foxx had eight days of shooting remaining during his health scare.

Foxx’s hospitalization comes after his recent collaboration with Snoop Dogg on a Netflix film, and the premiere of his latest Netflix film, Day Shift. Despite the setback, fans are looking forward to seeing Foxx back in action soon.

In an Instagram post shared by Jamie Foxx’s daughter Corinne Foxx, she shared that her father is recovering from a medical complication.

The news follows two years after the movie star announced a new comedy series based on his relationship with Corrine.  On April 12, Corrine took to her Instagram account and shared a message about the Day Shift star’s condition.

“We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx experienced a medical complication yesterday,” Corinne wrote. “Luckily, due to quick action, and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.”

Corinne also thanked her father’s fans and followers for their prayers and asked for privacy. However, Jamie’s condition was not released by Corinne or his family. 

In more recent news when  Jamie was in happier spirits, he showed his excitement for the movie’s premiere, Day Shift with a fan in attendance. 

In September 2022, Jamie Foxx he called out the black podcast community in an Instagram post.

The post said, “Just cause they got a podcast…don’t make them a philosopher.” Foxx would then caption the photo with “errrrrbody don’t need a mic,” to those he felt should not have a podcast.
