Jamie Foxx is out of the hospital and is getting back into the swing of things … literally.

The 55-year-old was spotted out and about in Chicago for the first time since his mystery hospitalization in April.

On Sunday, the Oscar winner was spotted aboard a boat traveling along the Chicago River all smiles and waving to fans. The sighting is the first since he was admitted to an Atlanta hospital after suffering a medical emergency.

Foxx’s sighting aboard a boat in Chicago, which was captured in photos published by TMZ, came as he also shared his first Twitter post in months on Sunday night.

“Boat life 🦊 Celebrating summer with @brownsugarbbn. Stay blessed,” the They Cloned Tyrone actor wrote in the post, giving a nod to the flavored whiskey brand Brown Sugar Bourbon.

As previously reported Foxx has been undergoing physical rehab at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab in Chicago. A source close to the actor and his camp told PEOPLE that he is “doing great.”

“He is just taking it easy. He’s not really having any visitors or anything like that yet but he’s doing really really well,” the source says, following Foxx’s appearance on the water.

TMZ also published video of Foxx at Topgolf in Naperville, Illinois on Saturday, where he showed off his golf swing.

And if that wasn’t enough, he was also spotted saving the day, retrieving a woman’s purse that fell in the street.

In the video you see Jamie in a chauffeur-driven SUV roll up next to a group of people riding through downtown Chicago on a pedicab. They were all thanking him profusely for returning a purse.

The man who posted the video says his mother had lost her handbag, and apparently, Jamie found it … and somehow tracked down the group. You clearly see him smiling and hopping back into his ride after handing her the purse.
