According to a report from The Daily Mail, Kanye West’s clothing firm, Yeezy Apparel, LLC, is currently facing four active tax liens for unpaid business taxes totaling $934,033.56.

These liens have been filed against the company over the past three years. Additionally, Ye owes $101,093 in property taxes on two homes that he owned with Kardashian.

The State of California’s Franchise Tax Board recently issued a demand in March 2023 for $319,356.58, which includes a penalty of $97,063.78 and $9,644.40 in interest. This demand is related to unpaid taxes between October 2021 and March 2022.

Two more tax liens have been filed against Kanye, one in September 2022 from April to September 2021, totaling $321,591.71 including penalties and interest.

The other was filed in February 2022 for $279,085.99, which includes a penalty of $92,374 and interest. This lien is for the period between January 2020 and March 2021.

Notably, the homes that Kanye purchased with Kardashian also have unpaid taxes. One of the homes is a four-bedroom mansion in Calabasas, which they bought in May 2018 for $2.2 million.

As part of their divorce settlement, Ye was given ownership of the 300-acre property.

However, he has failed to pay any taxes on the property since 2021, resulting in a total owed of $81,154. Specifically, the non-payments in 2021 amounted to $26,759, $26,781 in 2022, and $27,614 in 2023.

One other property, a three-bedroom apartment in Calabasas purchased jointly by the Chicago native and Kardashian for $1.6 million in August 2017, also has unpaid taxes totaling $19,939 since the year of purchase.

There has been no public statement from Ye regarding whether he plans to pay off these outstanding taxes soon.

In other news involving Kanye with houses, he recently had to put his Malibu mansion on the market. He listed the mansion for a reported $53 million and the reasons for the house being for sale are the unsafe working conditions for employees.

In other news related to celebrities and tax issues, singer Ne-Yo and his ex-wife Crystal Smith recently faced their own financial challenges. In August 2023, Ne-Yo received a $3.1 million tax lien for unpaid taxes and unpaid contracts, amidst his divorce proceedings with Smith.
