After anticipation for Kanye West’s presidential campaign, it was announced on Oct. 20 by West’s lawyer, Bruce Marks, that Ye will no longer be campaigning. According to Rolling Stone, Marks made the announcement stating:
“He’s not a candidate for office in 2024.”
The Federal Election Commission filing for “Kanye 2020” provides concrete evidence of the winding down of the Ye24 campaign.
The committee, formerly led by right-wing operative Milo Yiannopoulos, has now transitioned its leadership to the treasurer. Additionally, the committee’s financial situation indicates a winding-down process, with under $25,000 in available cash.
While there is still a possibility that West could continue with his campaign, an anonymous source close to the rapper stated that there is no plan in place to do so. The source also emphasized:
“There’s no plan to do that. There’s no campaign structure or anything along those lines in place.”
This makes the likelihood of the campaign’s return “beyond remote.” Currently, Kanye West and his representatives have not made any official remarks regarding the future of his political endeavors.

On Monday, May 8th, Patrick Krason announced to the Federal Election Commission (FEC) that he has resigned as Kanye West’s campaign treasurer. Krason accuses Milo Yiannopoulos of breaking campaign finance laws and submitting falsified invoices and expenditures that would be deemed unlawful.
Yiannopoulos denies the allegations.
Before Krason assumed the role of campaign treasurer, he claimed that there was too much “personal animosity” between him and Yiannopoulos, making it impossible for a professional relationship to exist.
The Daily Beast reported that Yiannopoulos has $40,000 in unpaid campaign bills for Kanye West’s 2020 presidential bid. The bills reportedly include legal fees, event expenses, and travel costs.
This information adds to the recent personnel drama surrounding Kanye’s campaign.
Kanye has been involved in his own personnel drama, including being sued by a former employee for breach of contract. In addition, he announced his desire for Donald Trump to be his Vice President when he runs.
Furthermore, Yiannopoulos took over as campaign manager in early May 2023, dismissing Nicholas Fuentes and Ali Alexander.
Kanye West significantly changed his 2024 presidential campaign team, hiring controversial right-wing personality Milo Yiannopoulos as his new Political Director of Operations. This follows the departure of Nicholas Fuentes and Ali Alexander, who were reportedly sent cease and desist letters from Yiannopoulos. Fuentes and Alexander were part of West’s prior political team.
Yiannopoulos was recently hired as West’s new Political Director of Operations for his 2024 presidential campaign, according to a close source to those involved. His appointment follows the departure of Fuentes and Alexander, who were both part of West’s prior political team.
Yiannopoulos reportedly sent cease and desist letters to Fuentes and Alexander, terminating their services as part of Ye’s exploratory team. He also requested Fuentes to have his assistant contact him for an “orderly handover” of the YE24.com domain and any associated assets, as well as submit any records he has related to the campaign by the end of the day.
Additionally, Ali Alexander was allegedly sent a similar email.
It’s worth noting that Fuentes is a far-right activist and white supremacist who was paid more than $30,000 by Kanye West’s presidential campaign, according to The Hill.

In November 2022, Kanye West officially announced that he will be running for president in the 2024 election. Recently, he shared that if he is elected, the rapper-turned-businessman plans to remove his tattoos and grill.
Kanye West has made it clear that he will run for president after previously running in 2020. In a new video, Ye says he plans to remove his tattoos and grill if he wins the election.
During the clip, Kanye, wearing an American flag jacket, was asked about his presidential plans. He gave a brief answer:
“I’m getting my tattoos removed and put some normal teeth back in,” the “Pablo” artist said.
Kanye has not mentioned any major plans but joked about possibly making former president Donald Trump his vice president.
Kanye West made headlines earlier after making an announcement about something he has attempted before. In a video, Kanye announced that he will be running for president in the 2024 elections.
In a YouTube video, Ye is seen walking into a warehouse, followed by someone recording him. In the beginning, he walks with a man named Milo Yiannopoulos, who he refers to as his campaign manager.
When the cameraman asked if he was running, he laughingly responded, “Yes. It’s that simple.”
While in the warehouse, Kanye showed off merchandise that read “YE24” and mentioned that some clothes were from Adidas, Balenciaga, and Gap.
Recently, Kanye was dropped from those companies after he posted comments labeled as anti-semitic on social media and allegedly lost his billionaire status.
When discussing his plans, he highlighted that the average person needs more education, healthcare, and engineering opportunities. The “Donda” rapper also says his message is to look forward to the future.
“We’re getting past the past. We’re focusing on the future,” Kanye said.
Even though Kanye has run for president in the past and openly expressed his love for former President Donald Trump, he has not confirmed his chosen political party.
Kanye West made a new purchase as he acquired the conservative media platform, Parler back in October.
In a post on Instagram, a press release announced that he had purchased the app and wanted to emphasize freedom of speech on the app.
