*In Grand Prairie, TX (in the Dallas area), the local NAACP chapter is calling for accountability and the resignations of the Grand Prairie Independent School District superintendent and a principal following an investigation into students caught on video using the n-word inside a classroom.

A few weeks ago, a video posted on social media showed several Dubiski Career High School students using the n-word and sticky notes to spell it out before saying it aloud in class. Parents also said they noticed a substitute teacher in the video as well.

It comes as no surprise that the president of the Grand Prairie NCAAP, Angela Luckey, is upset over the video and she’s heard from several Black students who were just as upset and angry that the students in the video had not been punished before the school’s spring break.

“Some of them are crying. Some of them just say, ‘Mrs. Luckey when we do something wrong, we get suspended the same day,’” Luckey said in an interview.
