Mark Hubbard and the Voices release ‘For the Rest of My Life’ from the upcoming new album on HezHouse Entertainment.
*“The lives you will touch,” said Grammy-nominated Mark Hubbard about his music ministry, and the release of a new single “For the Rest of My Life” from him and his choir The Voices, with Reginald Staggers as lead vocalist. “You have to know your calling and make sure it’s your calling. Some get star-struck with the limelight, not understanding the struggle. If you are not called, you are not going to survive.”
Hubbard and his choir have been together since 1985. However, Mark has been at it since the age of eight when he started directing the choir. Mark Hubbard and The Voices have released five albums. The new single “For the Rest of My Life” is from their upcoming sixth album “Voice of a Survivor” slated for a February 2024 release.
Mark Hubbard, a Stellar Award winner, is also a bass player, music producer, rhythm arranger, and an expert at mixing and mastering. In 2021 he was asked to form a choir for Lollapalooza in Chicago. He named the 40-member choir Music in the Key of Chicago. He also launched Next Showcase USA in 2017 to showcase artists and provide learning opportunities on how to reach the next level.
“It offers a platform in Chicago to showcase their talents,” Hubbard said about Next Showcase USA. “We give advice, they get the opportunity to perform. We’re partners with the city of Chicago to showcase them at their events.”
Mark Hubbard and The Voices have released four projects on Tyscot Records, and one via Utopia Group. The single and the upcoming “Voice of a Survivor” will be released via HezHouse Entertainment. An imprint of Grammy Award-winning Hezekiah Walker, HezHouse Entertainment is distributed by Provident Entertainment (a Sony Music company).
“I had a single out…and I knew he had a radio show, so I asked him to take a listen. Instead, he asked if I was signed to anyone, I can not tell you how long I cried,” Mark recalled when I asked about his new label deal. “I was blessed. We grew up in the industry together.”
Mark Hubbard and The Voices have shared the stage with Donald Lawrence, Hezekiah Walker, Richard Smallwood, Kurt Carr, Bebe & Cece Winans, Kim Burrell, Karen Clark-Sheard, Stevie Wonder, Yolanda Adams, and Melba Moore. www.NextShowcaseUSA.com www.ProvidentEntertainment.com
