*Former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Phaedra Parks is said to be joining “Married to Medicine” now that Dr. Contessa Metcalfe has exited the series alongside Anila Sajja.
Sajja, who joined the show during season 8, confirmed her departure from the franchise in a statement to lovebscott.com. Multiple reports claim both she and Metcalf were fired.
“There are three sides to a story: somewhere between their story and mine is the TRUTH,” Sajja stated. “The truth is- only half of the rumors are true. I won’t be on the upcoming season of ‘Married to Medicine’ but I won’t be gone for long,” she continued.
Sajja added, “I have been working on some projects that will give me the FULL opportunity to continue to share my life journey, family, and my Indian culture.”
Sajja went on to say, “The show was an amazing opportunity and I am excited to build off of the platform I have been given.”

Season 10 of “Married to Medicine” will reportedly start production later this year. Series star Quad Webb will reportedly introduce Phaedra when the new season kicks off.
In related news, last year Parks announced that she was working on a self-help book that details her mental health journey. She says the book is part memoir and part meditative guide.
“When I left ‘Housewives,’ it was a very dark time,” Parks previously said in an exclusive interview with Page Six. “And I went through … depression and a lot of emotions because ‘Housewives’ can give you PTSD. I think anyone that’s been on it for over four to five years will experience some PTSD because it can be very traumatic.”
She added, “So I wanted to write a book for women — men can read it, too — that really gave a part of my testimony of just being an overcomer.”
