The 20th anniversary of Mean Girls, the cult classic that still resonates with audiences today, marks a significant milestone. This film, released in 2004, deftly combines humor, sharp social commentary and the unforgettable chaos of high school life. Among its iconic moments is the cafeteria scene, where the cliques of North Shore High are introduced, including the “Unfriendly Black Hotties.” This group, though briefly highlighted, represents a critical commentary on race and inclusion in teen cinema.

If the Mean Girls’ “Unfriendly Black Hotties” table was recreated in 2024, it would include some of our favorite celebrities. There’s JT—after all she told us herself she isn’t friendly. How about Summer Walker, who won’t hide how annoyed she is by you talking to her on her face. Drake, of course, he’d give you his Instagram handle and never follow you back. Azealia Banks would pop over to the table after having a smoke break in the bathroom. Word of advice: Do not look her in the eyes.

EBONY’s lineup below is a modern take that reveals a group not just defined by their looks but by their strong personalities and trailblazing spirits, creating a powerhouse circle of influence and style at the heart of the film’s social dynamics. Check out their pics below.

EBONY readers, what color do you think they’d all wear on Wednesdays?
