*It’s EUR’s Social Heat – the Saturday, June 17 edition. He hasn’t said why, but after 13 years as majority owner of the Charlotte Hornets, NBA legend, Michael Jordan is planning to sell his stake. The news came via ESPN Senior NBA insider, Adrian Wojnarowski who posted the announcement on Twitter early Friday morning. It read: “Michael Jordan is finalizing a sale of the Charlotte Hornets to a group led by Gabe Plotkin and Rick Schnall, ending his 13-year run as majority owner, league sources told ESPN on Friday.” Sources also told Woj that Jordan is still expected to “keep a minority stake and a presence within the franchise.” Jordan became the first former NBA player to become the majority owner of a franchise back in 2010 when he made the purchase.

Apollo Nida, the ex-hubby of former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Phaedra Parks, tried to get his 5-year probation to end early but failed. Well, at least he tried. The ruling was made this week in Georgia, according to court documents acquired by RadarOnline.com. Facing a potential 30-year prison sentence, Nida entered a plea deal and cooperated with authorities by allegedly providing information about his accomplice. Nida says being subjected to travel restrictions and requiring approval for work has had a detrimental impact on his career as a sought-after entertainer. The good news for the “sought-after” reality star is that probation is set to end next year in 2024.

Not that you need a reminder that we live in a violent society … In Washington, DC, a pregnant woman was shot and killed, and her baby remains in critical condition. The shooting happened on Thursday in Southeast, D.C. The woman, Samya Gill, 22, gave birth before dying from her injuries. She was in a parked vehicle with a man when another vehicle pulled up and two armed men jumped out and opened fire on the vehicle and struck Samya and the man several times. The man was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The baby is in critical condition.
