*Former NBA player Nate Robinson says he doesn’t have long to live if he can’t get a kidney replacement.
Robinson has been searching for a new kidney for the past four years following a diagnosis of renal kidney failure. He stressed the urgency of his situation in a new interview, stating that without a kidney replacement, he fears for his life.
“I know that I don’t have long if I can’t get a kidney,” Robinson told the Daily Mail Sports.
“I know I’m not going to have long to live. So I just want to make the best of it as much as I can,” he added.
Robinson relies on a dialysis machine for his longevity and survival. The former guard said he would have a “week or two” to live without it.

“It’s serious, can’t miss a day,” Robinson said.
“I go in for four hours, three days a week, four hours a day,” he shared. “And they clean my blood to get my toxins out. And they help me out a lot because that’s how I’m living.”
“So I’m just enjoying the times where I do feel healthy. I try to get out there with my kids, see my family and play basketball, do the things that I love,” Robinson added.
Robinson detailed his over-a-decade-long battle with kidney disease in a 2022 documentary. Watch the YouTube clip below.
