After nearly a month without an update, the Television Academy has set a new date for the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards. The annual ceremony has been rescheduled for Monday, January 15, 2024, the same day the nation will celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The Emmy Awards will be executive-produced by Jesse Collins, Dionne Harmon and Jeannae Rouzan-Clay of Jesse Collins Entertainment, a Black-owned production company. The live broadcast will run on FOX network.

Founded in 2012, the Emmy-winning production company is behind some of the most engaging TV productions over the last decade, including the reality series Real Husbands of Hollywood, the drama series American Soul and the film/miniseries The New Edition Story and The Bobby Brown Story.  A family-run business, Jesse Collins Entertainment has produced Emmy Awards broadcasts, The American Music Awards, BET Awards, Soul Train Music Awards, Black Girls Rock!, the Super Bowl halftime show and more. The company also produced the 2021 Oscars telecast.

“We are honored to have the opportunity to produce the 75th Emmy Awards and look forward to working with … everyone at the Television Academy and FOX to continue the legacy of amazing and unforgettable Emmy broadcasts that shine a light on some of the most amazing people in our industry,” Collins shared via a statement.

This year’s nominees include several cast members from Abbott Elementary, nominated for “Best Comedy” for the second consecutive year. Creator and star Quinta Brunson is contending in the “Best Lead Actress in a Comedy” category; co-stars Janelle James and Sheryl Lee Ralph (who took home the statue in 2022) are both in the “Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series” category and Tyler James Williams received a nomination for “Best Supporting Actor in A Comedy Series.”

FOX’s three-hour telecast will begin at 8 p.m. ET from the Peacock Theater at LA Live.
