Authorities in New York have declared a woman wanted after she allegedly kidnapped her 3-year-old daughter. According to the New York Post, Randalae Rhodes, 26, allegedly kidnapped her daughter Kadence France from a family home in Staten Island on Saturday afternoon.
Police said Rhodes subsequently drove off with her daughter in a blue, two-door Honda Accord. Police also said the 3-year-old’s father – not Rhodes – has custody of their kidnapped daughter. Investigators suspect Rhodes fled the city with the minor.
France was said to be wearing a pink jacket, black winter cap with pompoms, sparkled black leggings, and black boots the last time she was sighted, per the New York Post.
The search for France ended on Monday after a family member brought her to a Staten Island precinct, police said. She was seen to be in good health, according to medics after she was brought to the NYPD’s 120th precinct, Daily News reported. No arrests have been made yet as the police are still searching for Rhodes.
Rhodes was arrested in the past for a 2019 assault inside a Monroe St. apartment building in the Bedford-Stuyvesant area of Brooklyn. The police said she lived in the area at the time.
In July, Face2Face Africa reported that a 6-year-old Georgia girl reunited with her father after the minor’s mother allegedly abducted her over two years ago and took her to Mexico. Majesty Williams was at her father’s Smyrna house on April 1, 2021, when she was allegedly abducted by her mother Andrea McCord, the Smyrna Police Department and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children said in a press release.
McCord was later arrested on warrants for Interstate Interference with Child Custody and extradited to the United States to appear before a judge, police said.
