Randi Williams and Barack Obama (Netflix)
*Webbies, here we come, here we go, and here we are with today’s Social Heat. Now that he is retired, Forever POTUS Barack Obama is stepping into the docu-series space. In a clip from his new Netflix series “Working: What We Do All Day,” former POTUS temporarily moonlights as a sort of Door Dasher delivering lunches to American workers and inquiring about their day, employment, and family. We’ll be watching when we clock out. Check out the clip below which is now streaming on Netflix!
Ja Morant apologized for his recent suspension after being filmed brandishing a weapon on IG live again. “I know I’ve disappointed a lot of people who have supported me,” wrote the NBA player. “This is a journey and I recognize there is more work to do. My words may not mean much right now, but I take full accountability for my actions. I’m committed to continuing to work on myself.” @leanotleigh posted what we all think, “This is a journey.” – A grown man from a middle-class, financially stable 2 parent household. Maaan, why are you out here self-sabotaging? How are you constantly fumbling your bag???
Social media is fed up with Ja Morant‘s antics, and the collective decided to enact intervention. Calling on Coach Carter! Even Samuel L. Jackson had to repost the request.
Former NBA player turned sports analyst, JJ Redick did have some words concerning Ja Morant and understands there are consequences for his actions; however, he also points out that gun culture is pervasive in America, where school shootings occur frequently. So Redick questions, why are “we laying the hammer down on a 23-year-old that didn’t break the law?” You right, JJ but hear us out; Ja is out here violating his employer’s guidelines. Ja can always work for the NRA, but he has to follow the rules in the NBA if he wants to keep his career. Weigh in Webbies!
