Grammy-nominated rapper Offset will host the second annual Toys 4 The Nawf Christmas Charity Event in Georgia.
This year, join Grammy-nominated rapper Offset as he hosts the second annual Toys 4 The Nawf Christmas Charity Event, according to a press release shared with BLACK ENTERPRISE.
In collaboration with the Ann Cephus Family Fund Corporation, the toy drive is expected to surpass last year’s event, which was a huge success and attracted nearly 250 families and about 500 children. Attendees were gifted $35,000 worth of toys and logistics, courtesy of generous sponsors and donors.
With the previous year being such a hit, Offset, whose legal name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, and the community volunteers behind the achievement are hoping for an even larger turnout this time around, with plans to double the number of families impacted.
The father of five has proven he’s all about family and giving back to others. “We had a great turnout last year, and I’m hoping for an even better one this year. I’ve been so blessed this year; I’m excited to bless others. That’s the reason for the season,” Offset said in a statement shared with Billboard.
During the inaugural toy drive in 2022, he was awarded an honorary key to Gwinnett County for his contributions to the community. “I like to see when celebrities give back to the community, and you know, do their best to make sure that the kids get where they need to go,” he said.
The event will offer toys for the children and provide winter gear for families in need just in time for the cold weather, barber services for kids, and on-site wellness checks, including immunizations and blood pressure examinations. It will also bring awareness to the Internet Affordable Connectivity Program, highlighting the importance of internet accessibility for everyone. This year’s event will have a Christmas carnival theme, with light snacks such as popcorn, corn dogs, cotton candy, and more available for participants.
The Toys 4 The Nawf Christmas Charity Event will take place on Dec. 2. For additional information, including location and time, visit the Ann Cephus Family Fund Corporation’s official website.
