Our Roots – Sadio Mane

*He did not make the World cup to represent his country Senegal, due to a knee injury, but he needs to be appreciated for his awesome footballing skills which will be missed at the competition in Qatar.

No wonder, he was twice named African Footballer of the Year. Sadio Mane was instrumental in the Senegal team winning this year’s Africa Cup of Nations as they beat Egypt on penalties in the final.

In his footballing career, he has made a mark with the teams he has prominently played for.

And lest we forget, Tunisia, Morocco, Cameroon, and Ghana are also, the other African nations represented at this year’s competition in Qatar.
