The MVAA FF2023 premiered two of the biggest projects coming to HULU

Acclaimed filmmakers Stanley Nelson Jr. and Valerie Scoon took to the stage for Sound of the Police, a new documentary on HULU. The film examines the fraught relationship between African Americans and the police, which is often filled with fear, suspicion and hostility from all sides. It’s an in-depth examination of the long and complex racial history in the U.S. that set the path for policing in communities of color, fuels ongoing conflicts and makes the necessary demand for reform. The series is produced by ABC News Studios in association with Firelight Films.
