Renowned rapper Nas took to Instagram to announce his participation in the Transformers: Rise of the Beasts soundtrack. The highly anticipated movie features Nas’s new single titled “On My Soul,” which also includes contributions from artists Tobe Nwigwe and Jacob Banks.

The song was released at midnight on May 19th, kicking off a hip-hop blackout of the next Transformers installment.  Tobe Nwigwe expressed his excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate with Nas on the Transformers soundtrack. Calling it a “monumental moment in time,” Nwigwe shared his appreciation for the chance to work alongside such an iconic artist.

The Transformers: Rise of the Beasts soundtrack is set to feature legendary rap groups, including Wu-Tang Clan and A Tribe Called Quest, although the full tracklist has not been released yet. The movie trailer also includes a mix-up of the late DMX‘s hit song “Ruff Ryders Anthem,” adding to the anticipation for the film.

The movie features Black actors Dominique Fishback and Tobe Nwigwe as part of the main cast. Dominique Fishback has delivered notable performances in films such as Swarm and Judas & The Black Messiah. Directed by Steven Caple Jr., known for his work on the boxing thriller Creed II, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts promises to be an exciting addition to the franchise.

In the realm of movie soundtracks, other rappers such as Kodak Black, NBA Youngboy, and NLE Choppa will be featured on the Fast X soundtrack, adding to the musical diversity of upcoming films.

In other news related to Nas, he released his album Kings Disease 3, which stirred some controversy with shots at Jay-Z and Pete Rock. Additionally, Nas continues his tour, joined by Wu-Tang Clan and De La Soul, who joined the tour in April.
