Shaq and Barkley laugh at Anthony Davis’ possible concussion – screenshots
*If you’re a Lakers fan you most likely weren’t laughing like Shaq and Charles Barkley Wednesday night when Anthony Davis supposedly got elbowed in the face/head area by the Warriors’ Kevon Looney. It caused Davis to have to leave the game in the 4th quarter. He reportedly had to use a wheelchair due to a possible concussion
Now, this is where Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley come in. As analysts on TNT’s “Inside the NBA,” they addressed the incident, and while Ernie Johnson tried to keep things serious, Shaq and Barkley erupted in laughter. Barkley said he was laughing because Shaq was tearing up a piece of paper, and some believe was Shaq’s way of taking a subtle dig at Davis, who has been injury-prone during his Lakers career. You can check it out below.
UPdate! An early Thursday morning diagnosis indicated that Davis appeared to have avoided a concussion, TNT Sports’ Chris Haynes reported. Haynes later reported that Davis is expected to suit up for Game 6 on Friday, barring a setback. For Lakers fans, we’ve got a bit of good news for ya. Davis was seen exiting the arena and walking under his own power.
Wait. There’s more. Over on ESPN, Stephen A. Smith thought it was funny as well. Watch below.
