Sherri Shepherd is the latest celeb weighing in on Jill Biden’s invite to both finalists in the NCAA Women’s tournament.

Following LSU’s historic win over Iowa, Biden said she wanted to invite both teams for a celebration at the White House. The suggestion garnered swift criticism, from everybody from LSU star player Angel Reese to Shepherd.

TMZ caught Sheperd outside an event in NYC where she said Jill should apologize to the LSU women’s hoops team.

“You never invite the losing team to the White House,” Shepherd said.

“I know you want Iowa to vote for your husband, but stop it. Stop it, Dr. Biden,” she added.
“Stop putting the agenda, in front of what is right.”

Biden’s Press Secretary tried to apologize for FLOTUS following the backlash saying Jill was simply trying to applaud “how far women have advanced in sports since the passing of Title IX” and “the historic game and all women athletes.”

Despite the explanation, Reese said she and her teammates will go to the Obama’s instead.

“I just know if the roles were reversed, it wouldn’t be the same,” Reese said on the ‘I Am Athlete’ show Paper Route. “If we were to lose, we would not be getting invited to the White House.”

For their part, Iowa said it never received a formal invitation from the Bidens and it’s star guard, Caitlin Clark, seemed to say she wouldn’t want to go even if the invite had come.

“I don’t think runner-ups usually go to the White House,” Clark said earlier this week. “I think LSU should, you know, enjoy that moment for them.”

Despite the controversy, a spokesperson for LSU said the Tigers would be “excited” to continue the celebration of their women’s NCAA tournament title with the Biden’s later this year.
