*Law enforcement agencies around the country have become hiding places for some people who don’t want to protect and serve, but rather bully, lie on and kill people they would rather purge from society.

And since many law enforcement officers hide behind qualified immunity – meaning they can maim and kill people without prosecution – when cops are held accountable it’s important to acknowledge. 

Five New Haven, CT., police officers are charged with reckless endangerment and cruelty for the way they treated Randy Cox during his arrest last June. If convicted of these misdemeanor charges, one year behind bars is the most jail time these cops could get. Is that enough? Would the average citizen, whose negligent behavior left someone paralyzed, get the same treatment?
