Coco Jones has recently been recognized with the “Best New Artist” award at the 2023 BET Awards. In her heartfelt acceptance speech, Jones expressed gratitude to her supporters and emphasized the importance of perseverance for Black girls in the industry. With a certified Gold hit and a new EP, Coco Jones continues to establish herself as a talented performer and advocate for change.

Beyoncé has teamed up with Amazon Music and launched an exclusive merchandise collection for the Renaissance Tour. Queen Bey, once again showcasing her marketing prowess, has successfully targeted her global fanbase while creating a buzz of excitement and captivating the attention of audiences worldwide.

Issa Rae thinks of Nicki Minaj when she thinks of Barbie.  Nicki Minaj channeling a Barbie doll throughout her career worked to perfection, so thinks Issa Rae, who says she always associates the doll with the megastar rapper. Issa Rae plays President Barbie in the upcoming “Barbie” movie. Rae says, “My Barbie association is Nicki Minaj … so it’s dope that she is a part of this movie in some way.”  Nicki scored the lead-off single for the film with the track “Barbie World,” a collaboration between her and Ice Spice where they pulled out all the stops for the colorful visual.

The multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, philanthropist, entrepreneur, and actress, MONICA, has released her new video and single “Letters”. “Letters” is an intimate and steamy track featuring Game in a bathtub scene. The song is part of her forthcoming R&B album “Trenches”,  set to be released in 2023.

Twin female rappers Cam and China are making us believers with their latest drop.  The identical pair, from Englewood, CA, jumped on IG with some fire to remind the world that bars matter.  With over 100,000 followers, these two are definitely the ones to watch.

Shoutouts to 29-year-old ventriloquist, Megan Piphus. She found her way to Sesame Street as the show’s first Black woman puppeteer.  Piphus started ventriloquism and puppetry at the early age of ten. The talented Ventriloquist Megan plays the role of Gabrielle, a 6-year-old black girl Muppet, on Sesame Street. In a recent social media post of behind-the-scenes footage of Sesame Street’s ‘Wash Day’ episode. Megan took to her Instagram and stated “I was overflowing with joy in this moment. Recording this episode is one of the highlights of my career.” 

Black moms ain’t scared of no ghosts! In a hilarious Instagram post that will set your 4th of July weekend off right, a black mother was pranked by her daughter. As a mother is seen relaxing in her bed with her son, he begins to see something strange. He asks his mommy “Did you see that?” she responds “What?” the son replies “The teddy bear was moving” not believing her son she responds to him by saying “Joshy you watch too many crazy movies” a few moments later the mother sees the Teddy bear move from the corner of her eye. She quickly gets up and retrieves her son and starts rebuking the bear in the name of Jesus! She later comes to find out that she was being pranked by her daughter.
