*Former NBA star Trevor Ariza got a big win in court last week after a judge ordered him to pay just $7,500 per month to his estranged wife in temporary support, instead of the $60,000 per month she had demanded days earlier, according to RadarOnline.com.

Bree Anderson, who shares two young children with Ariza, had first demanded $23,000 per month in temporary child support and $36,001 per month in temporary spousal support, which totals $59,304. She also demanded that Ariza fork over an additional $250,000 lump sum to cover her legal fees.

In previous court proceedings, Ariza has asked the court to lower the amount he must pay to his ex, arguing he now lacks a consistent source of income since retiring from the league in 2022. Trevor played in the NBA for over a decade and made over $116 million. He told the judge he was lowering his current expenses due to his post-retirement drop in income.

But Anderson suggested that he sell off his assets to satisfy any support obligation. She said her current lifestyle should be on par with the extravagant lifestyle she had while they were married.

Additionally, she accused Ariza of having no plans to cut his expenses and offered receipts that showed he spent $120,000 on his new girlfriend, including buying her a car.

The judge agreed with Ariza and ordered him to pay $7,500 in temporary monthly support, and just $100,000 to cover Anderson’s legal fees. That’s less than half of the $250,000 lump sum that she wanted.
