Tyrese Gibson insists he’s never appeared in any explicit videos with Sean “Diddy” Combs, and he’s blaming Donald Trump’s supporters for starting such rumors.
On election day, the Fast and Furious star took to X to show his support for Vice President Kamala Harris. After holding up a Harris Walz sign on the side of the street, he flaunted his “I Voted” sticker before heading back to his car and speaking to the camera.
Following his endorsement, Tyrese claims that rumors of a video with him and Combs began to circulate, which he is blaming on Donald Trump supporters. Right wing conspiracy theorist flooded the comments of many celebrities supporting Harris prior to the election, insisting their endorsement came as an attempt to save them during Diddy’s upcoming trial, though it’s unclear where this conspiracy theory came from (especially considering the fact that Trump is the candidate who’s been pictured with Combs countless times).
“We get it. You were on Diddy’s list,” one reply reads.
Another added, “Oh no, what does diddy have on you bro?”
While nobody was taking these allegations seriously, Tyrese still took the time to reply, insisting his attendance at Combs’ infamous parties didn’t involve any of the heinous activities he is being accused of.
“There is no such thing as a Diddy tape, literally,” Gibson said on Instagram Live this week. “I wanna tell y’all that I’ve been to some of the most legendary parties, I got no regrets.”
He continued, “If you’re from L.A. and you’ve been to these parties, you would know that Diddy always had the most legendary parties that were always star-studded. I got plenty of photos, proudly, like every other celebrity and star that went to his party. Anybody who’s not on the internet talking about a Diddy party—you should be more concerned about them, allegedly, about what they did or what they on tape doing.”
“There is no such thing allegedly as a Tyrese-Diddy tape,” the actor concluded. “That is a bunch of Donald Trump n****s in my comments, trying to discourage me from speaking up and speaking out.”
After Diddy was arrested on charges of racketeering, sex trafficking and using transportation to engage in prostitution, many celebrities have been accused of some sort of involvement. While many of them seem to come out of thin air, Tyrese did publicly defended Diddy in March after his homes were raided by authorities.
“I don’t condone nor do I support abuse, bullying sexual assault or anything that is currently being alleged but what I can’t do is turn the blinds on how much this mean to me and all of us, and what he has done for the community of music and culture,” Gibson wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post.
“I’m praying for Diddy his kids, his family, his mother, and all of the alleged victims that’s in the middle of trying to simply have their voices to be heard,” he continued. “I love this brother he’s been nothing but kind and generous towards me and that’s the way I feel praying and praying for more of a better outcome of all of this is happening, God bless you Diddy if you ever need to call me and just need a listening here I’m right here bro.”
