Every year, Watch The Yard embarks on a mission to capture the essence of Black college culture by interviewing Black Student Government Association (SGA) Presidents from both Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Predominantly White Institutions (PWIs). These interviews serve as a testament to the vibrant and dynamic landscape of Black higher education, showcasing the leadership, vision, and experiences of these influential student leaders.
As part of this ongoing endeavor, Watch The Yard is extending an invitation to current Black SGA Presidents to participate in featured articles. If you currently hold the position of SGA President at your institution, we want to hear from you.
Simply fill out our contact form by February 26, 2024 to express your interest in being featured.
In the coming week, we will be reaching out via email with a set of questions tailored to highlight your journey, accomplishments, and perspectives as a Black SGA President. This is an opportunity to share your story, insights, and aspirations with a broader audience passionate about celebrating Black excellence in higher education.
Whether you represent an HBCU or a PWI, your voice is integral to our collective narrative of Black college culture. Your leadership not only shapes the trajectory of your campus community but also contributes to a legacy of empowerment, advocacy, and progress.
Join us in showcasing the diversity, resilience, and brilliance of Black student leadership by taking part in our featured articles. Together, let’s continue to amplify the voices and experiences that make Black college culture so uniquely vibrant and inspiring.
