December is a time for us to figure things out, one way or another. Neptune goes direct on the 3rd, immersing us in our fantasies, vices, dreams, and delusions. We may become more aware of what draws our sympathy, compassion, and spirituality. Which of your fantasies would you like to (re)live, and which ones do you want to toss? Neptune going direct will help us clear up some of the confusion.

Mercury enters Capricorn on the 6th, getting us to speak, and think more practically. What structures are we currently working within? We could be thinking about how we spend our time and if it’s truly worth it. Many will be consumed with handling business, especially when it comes to real estate and basic business foundations.

On the 7th, we have the Gemini full moon, which also seeks to help us gain clarity on what we’re thinking and why. Pay attention to what’s being said and unsaid. Examine your thoughts and curiosities to the max. Be mindful of what is said in anger, lust, or ambition. Let go of thinking that you will come up with the perfect answer. There’s something to be said for taking a moment to think things over before you respond. The full moon can also highlight an imbalance, and how you seek stimulation.

Venus enters Capricorn on the 9th and helps us see the value of commitment. Ask yourself: Does this love/partnership have good bones? This month, Venus wants us to invest in things and bonds that are useful or worthy. This is all about what’s real, tactile, and demonstrative. Capricorn in Venus has a love of consistency and getting established. This is about connecting for the love of money, status, and respect. Focus on building bonds based on established improving work.

Midmonth, the last quarter moon in Virgo helps us let go of perfection. What is your vision for getting aligned? Release any anxiety about your journey and resist overanalysis. There’s so much going on and you are likely going to have to change what you’re working on several times. So, don’t get caught up in things staying the same.

On the 20th, Jupiter enters Aries and lets us know with a distinct shift that it is time to move forward. Jupiter will be in Aries from now until May 16, 2023. This energy will allow us to get energized and active about the opportunities in front of us. This Jupiter is all about self exploration and being a student of your identity. This is about the luck that you create via action and effort. How are you willing to work toward self-expansion? On another note, has conflict or anger become your religion? Look deep within to figure out who or what you’re fighting for.

On the 21st, we have the sun entering Capricorn, which marks the winter solstice, the official start of winter. This is a chance for us to reset and begin a new season. Here is our chance to clear the slate before the new moon — are you ready? Capricorn season teaches us that preparation for dark times is key to ensuring survival and long-term success. This season is about the walk of doing what you said you would do. This is a time to check your work and your mouth. Use this winter to learn the intimacy of building something real.

Chiron, the golden healer, goes direct on the 23rd and reminds us to keep an eye on how we act from our wounds. Are you ready to operate from a more whole place? What are you willing to do to heal? Are you down to shift into victory instead of victimhood? These are some heavy questions that Chiron wants us to ask. This month is an opportunity to dig in deep and look at how the rules we live by have kept us in bondage.

Also, on the 23rd we have the Capricorn new moon, which delivers us a solid structure, but at what cost? Are you prepared to lead yourself through some serious transformation? Our dreams are potent and powerful — which ones can you make real? This new moon is a push to commit to how you want to perform going forward. What needs to go so you can have your desired status? How do you feel about the power you currently have? What are you willing to do to acquire more?

Closing out the month, we have Mercury going retrograde in Capricorn on the 29th. You might want to chill on the New Year’s Eve resolutions this year. Instead, work on what you have. Save what’s proven to work and scrap the rest. This retrograde cycle will have us rethinking how we do business, duty, and discipline. Our habits and work ethic are up for review. This will be a good time to revamp or create business plans, and to edit any estate planning documents, such as wills or trusts.

Happy Birthday, Sagittarius! This birthday season is all about seeing yourself and your inner life in a new way. As you move into the next stage of your life, how do you feel about your parental figures and your upbringing? Neptune going direct in this area of your chart could help you remove the confusion and secrecy from certain parts of your story. The Gemini full moon will clear even more internal clutter as you get a glimpse of what you’re really fighting for.

Pay your respects to the past, and focus your attention on self-worth when Mercury and Venus enter Capricorn. Practice speaking about yourself, your journey, and your work with respect. You can spend a lot of time in your imagination, but this is a moment for you to communicate exactly what you’ve built to those who need to know. You don’t have to save people from the truth of your achievements. But it would be extremely helpful if you can share your boundaries and be willing to enforce them.

You’re going to need to have your wits about you as Jupiter moves into Aries on the 20th and activates your appetite for romance and creativity. Whether you’re single or taken, you’ll feel that flirty fire burn brighter. You’ll have plenty of opportunities and conversations that will allow you to share exactly who you’ve become, and give a glimpse of who you want to be. After you get out there, Mercury retrograde will offer you an opportunity to revise some of that game for the next set of social gatherings.

Capricorn

As we creep closer and closer to your birthday season, Neptune goes direct and dissolves some of the illusions you’ve had about your siblings, relatives, or closest members of your inner circle. Perhaps, now that your life is structured a bit differently, you can see them and yourself in a new light. When was the last time you shared your dreams with someone? Do you have new dreams that you’re working toward?

Before you get too consumed with the W word (especially under the Gemini full moon that will have you feeling especially productive), let’s focus on something even more important — you. Mercury moves into your sign for a while (until mid-February) and it’s a great time to work out any kinks in your contracts or systems. Especially when it comes to partnerships, this is where Venus seeks to help you attract those who genuinely want to work with you and respect your efforts. This will be a great time for vetting those you want to be around as you continue to establish yourself. You’re also looking better, thanks to Venus. So take as many photos and videos of yourself as you can. Your new moon on the 23rd is another delicious time to honor the life you’ve built.

Speaking of saving good looks and memories, family becomes a major focus when Jupiter enters Aries. Perhaps things have changed in the family dynamic and now you are considered to be one of the leaders. This is a chance for you to decide what role you would like to play in the future of your chosen family. Now that your world has expanded, how much of it do you want to bring home with you? You may also find that opportunities and chance meetings come through a family member, especially a parental figure. You don’t have to rush with this per se, but it may require more of your immediate attention than you think.

Aquarius

You’re beginning to be more serious about your money and where it comes from. It’s time to stop overthinking the things that bring you joy and the urge to share it with others. What talent have you been hiding behind that mask of yours?

What structures do you want to tear down in your life? What are some of the traditions you would like to create in place of the things you encourage yourself to let go of? Saturn is ready to help you acknowledge what’s truly done. The Gemini full moon can help you let go of fears and anxieties that no longer affect your reality, especially when it comes to romance and creative endeavors.

It will be easier for you to find answers in your written and creative output. Jupiter, moving into Aries, will allow you the energy to seize opportunities in front of you and create even more that represent who you are today and who you’re working to become. Reconnect with hobbies and subjects that entertain you first.

You’ll have plenty of time to double back to professional work, but it’s important for you to restructure your days to include inner and personal work. The new moon and Mercury retrograde will help you complete any projects that have been stored in the back of your brain for far too long.

Pisces

December begins with you shedding a few more falsehoods about yourself, thanks to Neptune going direct in your sign. This last year with Jupiter at home in your sign has been one of major growth and so you’ll be able to see exactly how much you’ve changed. Some of these edits can be seen under the Gemini full moon, which highlights how you balance your family life with professional pursuits.

A few areas of your life that have seen, and will continue to see massive change, are your friendships, network and goals. Now that you have moved into a new stage in life, it’s time to reevaluate the connections and projects that take up your time. Do you feel confident in the investments you’re making?

The way you view yourself becomes even more important when Jupiter enters Aries on the 20th. You have gathered a great deal of insight about who you are and how you want to feel as you move throughout the world. Jupiter wants to know if you are ready to assert yourself and if you see the value in taking the real you on the road.

New friends and dreams become available to you under the Capricorn new moon. There’s nothing wrong with choosing to surround yourself with people who are established and solid. Mercury retrograde will help you redefine what it means to be consistent and committed.

Aries

The month begins with you asking yourself what it is that you have left to hide about what you truly feel. Your boldness and candor have been accepted thus far, what else do you fear? Perhaps you’ll get some answers under the Gemini full moon, which wants to help you release any limiting beliefs, mindset issues and old arguments with siblings, cousins, or neighbors.

Your popularity increases as Mercury and Venus move into Capricorn. The status you hold as an authority is increasing by the day. Power players are interested in meeting you and establishing long-lasting relationships. Follow up on ideas that serve your legacy.

Jupiter enters your sign and it’s not like you need help making a splash. You may find that you have an even larger urge to let people know who you are and be seen at the function. Be mindful that you don’t tire yourself out from too much socializing. Mind your energy and your anger. It’s been a tough year for you and now you can capture some enjoyment.

The new moon offers you a clean slate when it comes to your career and how you want the world to know you. Based on the work you’ve put in, what do you believe is possible for you professionally? Mercury retrograde will help you determine your boundaries about money, power and respect.

Taurus

You’re feeling less confused about where to go next and who to take with you as Neptune goes direct. All those fuzzy friendships and pursuits will fall away as December rolls on. The Gemini full moon could alert you to where information, self-esteem, and money leaks are coming from. As you recover from an aggressive eclipse season, it’s time to sort things out now that the chips have fallen into place. Find your worth in the new world you’ve landed in.

Learning a new way to see your journey becomes your focus as Mercury and Venus enter Capricorn. You could meet several people through alumni groups or on the path to your spiritual practice. What are you learning about life based on the people you encounter? You may find yourself thinking about traveling overseas. Get your passport ready.

Before you travel too far and wide, Jupiter enters Aries on the 20th, and hopes to get you thinking deeply about the rougher aspects of your personality that you hide. Who are you when things get a little uncomfortable? Perhaps the things you’ve kept under the surface are ready to spring forth. Answers will come through active conversations.

Speaking of finding answers, Mercury retrograde is suited to help you find insight about your spiritual and educational journey. Perhaps there are some subjects you’d been interested in but lost track of over time. You might even decide to go back to school or attend a workshop. There could be dreams that speak to you and inspire your next moves. Pay attention to the things that jump out at you.

Gemini

The month begins with you finding clarity on how you want to be known professionally moving forward. Any creative projects you’ve been stalled on could get a second look. You’re looking at a lot of things differently under your full moon. Since Mars has been in your sign, you may have found yourself easily agitated and restless. The more you let go of what you think you should be upset about, the more you discover who you need to connect with to find joy.

Once you connect with like-minded folks, Venus and Mercury will help you figure out how you can truly build something lasting. You may find that a lot of messages and connections come through your closest partners. Has your idea of what it means to feel connected to someone changed? Update your terms and conditions with the people you love.

Your social circle becomes even more important as Jupiter enters Aries on the 20th and finds itself sorting through your network and achievements. Shake off that last bit of doubt and show us what you’ve got. You’re having chance encounters left and right, thanks to you being bold enough to explore your interests.

If there’s a self-development project you abandoned, this could be the month for you to recommit, especially if you want to do some work on intimacy. Pull out your journal, or your favorite art, film, and music that gets you in the mood to purge and merge. What gets you in the mindset to get down to business? Rethink your restrictions.

Cancer

This month could feel a little more heavy because you’re tackling some serious subjects. To begin, you might be renewing your faith in yourself or a higher power. Perhaps you have been finding new ways to explore belief and devotion. The Gemini full moon can help you sort out some of the ideas and thoughts that you may leave unsaid. If you can, let go of what you feel like you’re supposed to do and just do what you want to do.

Unfortunately, it’s not all about you this month as you’re being challenged to consider your relationships and partnerships. Are you comfortable with the current emotional, physical, and mental boundaries you have in place? Do you find yourself wanting to be closer to commitment or in need of distance? No matter your dating status, you will be challenged to recertify your bond.

Just as you’re trying to work things out with your sweetheart, Jupiter enters Aries on the 20th and energizes your name in the professional streets. You have opportunities coming to you left and right. Be selective, because you will need to execute on these moments quickly. How do you want to identify as a boss? What does being a leader look like to you? Better yet, what does it feel like?

The Capricorn new moon and Mercury retrograde can assist you in navigating what your relationships could look like with some adjustments. Don’t be afraid to put things in writing.

Leo

December begins with the desire to take out the trash. Perhaps the veil is falling from your eyes when it comes to relationships that have run their course. A rebirth is underway. The Gemini full moon is suited to remove any false friendships or goals that no longer align with your vision. Now that eclipse season is over, it’s time for you to lay the foundation for your next era.

Your daily routine gets upgraded once Mercury and Venus enter Capricorn. It can be tempting to stretch yourself thin in order to fulfill all of your creative desires. However, there’s only so much time in a day. Thanks to the kinds of people you’re meeting and the conversations you’re having, the way you move daily has changed. Not that I have to remind you, but make sure to look your best even when running simple errands. You never know who you’re going to meet.

The scholar in you is awakened when Jupiter enters Aries on the 20th. If you have been looking for a more defined special path, this is where you can begin the work. What subjects or concepts make you want to learn more about yourself? Do you have any religions or faiths that you want to explore? It’s never too late to be a student and it might even be time for you to teach.

This is why it’s important for you to use the new moon as well as Mercury retrograde to work out the kinks of your daily schedule. It’s going to take some trial and error to figure out the best setup for you and your creative output. Be sure to emphasize wellness in your routine as well.

Virgo

If you’re open to it, December begins with viewing partnership in a new light, thanks to Neptune going direct. The circumstances may be the same, but you’re seeing things in a new way. With the full moon pulling you between your career and your family, you have to continue releasing anger and anxiety about how you’re perceived. But thanks to the work you’ve put in, you’re in a different space entirely.

If you are single or looking to add a spark back in your love life, you’ll be ready to have a good time as Mercury and Venus enter Capricorn. How do you enjoy being wooed? What kind of dates do you like to go on? What makes you feel like connecting with that person who is fun and worth it? Even if you’re only seeking new creative partners, these skies are great for that too.

Taking it even further is Jupiter moving into Aries, magnifying your desire for passion and intimacy. Perhaps you’re done playing it too cool with those who you want to be closer to. It is important for you to inform your partners that you want to get their help building something that showcases who you are as a person. If you do want to get more involved, the best thing to do is to collect small but mighty wins.

The new moon and Mercury retrograde want to ensure your sense of fun and creativity is solid. Redefine your courting standards. Don’t be afraid to let them know the price has gone up. Those who respect your value will act accordingly. Also if you’re not ready to add to the family, wrap it all the way up.

Libra

December opens with you looking at your work-life balance in a new way. Perhaps you need more of a spiritual/mystical touch to your day. It’s easy to get sucked into other people’s stories and fantasies, but the Gemini full moon wants to show you just how important your story is. Are you ready to take this show on the international road? Perhaps it’s time to quit playing yourself small and see where your imagination can take you.

Before you can venture off too far, Mercury and Venus move into Capricorn to offer you more information and connection to your childhood, and the parental figures who nurtured you the most. You may find yourself revisiting old neighborhoods and places that helped develop your roots. You may even meet or reconnect with people who could be great for business.

Speaking of being primed for partnerships, Jupiter is expanding your idea of who is available to you as you pursue your goals and dreams. There are a great deal of learning opportunities available to you through the people who you encounter and decide to commit to building with. If you need to give yourself a refresher on your romantic beliefs, please do so.

The new moon can help you have a fresh start when it comes to seeing your heritage and upbringing in a new way. How do you want to tell the story of your youth? What traditions do you want to take with you as you move forward? Mercury retrograde will help you make any necessary edits to your thought process.

Scorpio

The month begins with the hazy layer of confusion being removed from your romantic and creative pursuits. Perhaps you feel like you’ve been moving on autopilot and things finally begin to clear out as Neptune calls direct. The Gemini full moon wants to illuminate the imbalance between what you’re giving and receiving in relationships versus how you feel about yourself. Now that the dust has settled in certain situations, how have your words or silence impacted the intimacy in your connections?

If you have been unable to find the words, Mercury and Venus enter the area of your chart that deals with communication. If you are the writer type, this will be a great time to work on your material at various cafés in your neighborhood. Connect with your siblings, relatives, or cousins. They may have insight or a contact for you.

The days get a little more hectic once Jupiter enters Aries and fills your time with tasks galore. Do your best to remain focused and not end up doing a bunch of busywork. Make sure that you create a list of priorities, and do your best to stick to it. Pay attention to how your energy gets used daily. Try not to overpromise; your ruler, Mars, is still retrograde, so your energy levels are under construction.

If you have a longform writing project, the new moon can help you get started and Mercury retrograde can help you knock out those drafts and get some good editing in before you pass it off. You may find that your voice has changed. Be open to learning your new sound.
