The sorors of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. are putting their money where their mouth is when it comes to supporting children and youth and they just made that clear by making a donation to support educational programs and enrichment scholarships to youth impacted by foster care and trauma in Northeast Florida.

Fostering Connections, a St. Johns County based nonprofit organization, recently received a $10,000 donation from Zeta Phi Beta in honor of the sorority’s recent Southeastern Regional Conference, held November 11-13th in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fl.

Established in 2019, Fostering Connections serves children impacted by fostercare or trauma in grades Pre-K-12 in St. Johns, Duval, Putnam, Flagler, and Volusia Counties. In 2022, Fostering Connections served over 300 youth across Northeast Florida.

“It is our honor and pleasure to sow a financial seed into Fostering Connections,” said Vicki L. Pearson, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.’s Southeastern Regional Director.

Earlier this year, in May of 2022, Zeta Beta Sorority also donated $3,500 to Fostering Connections during their State of Florida Conference.

“It is honor to be supported by this incredible organization of women that has donated over $8,000,000 and impacted more than 5 million people through their work in the community,” said the founder and CEO of Fostering Connections, Aubrie Simpson-Gotham. “The Sisters of Zeta Phi Beta are all inspirational leaders working tirelessly to support theircommunities and make a difference throughout the world.”

Zeta Phi Beta also has plans on partnering with Fostering Connections in 2023 to support their Career Readiness Academy program and provide mentorship for students.
