Zoe Kravitz – GQ’s 27th Men of the Year issue

*Zoe Kravitz has opened up about her relationship with Channing Tatum, who she has been dating since early last year. The actress talked to GQ for its 27th annual Men of the Year issue. She described Tatum as a wonderful human who makes her laugh.

“We both really love art and talking about art and the exploration of why we do what we do,” said Kravitz, adding they love to watch a film and break it down and talk about it and challenge each other.

The 33-year-old actress is still grateful that Tatum, 42, was always around to comfort her in stressful times on the set of the movie “Pussy Island.”

The movie, which stars Tatum, marks her directorial debut.

“Whether it was making me tea or pouring me a drink or going to whip someone into shape or whatever — he really was my protector and it was really wonderful and sweet,” she added, referring to the “Magic Mike” star. “I think if you can do something like that together, it’s a good test. And we came out even stronger.”

A photo of her and Tatum taken by a paparazzi in the summer of 2021 went viral and instantly became a meme. During this interview, she talked about the photo showing her riding on the back of Tatum’s bike.

“I was sweating and he was like, ‘Get on the bike, I’ll ride you over and you can relax,” she explained. “You want to keep it sacred and private as long as you can. So that you don’t have to even think about what the world thinks about it.”

“The Batman” star and Karl Glusman married in 2019 only to separate after only a year and a half in marriage. They finalized their divorce in 2021. She got to address her marriage and divorce during the interview, discussing how she experimented with domesticity after she turned 30.

The “High Fidelity” star said, “There’s something romantic and exciting about being like, ‘Oh, I’m an adult. I stay home and cook now. I bake bread. Then I think you do that for a couple years and you realize there’s still a lot of life to be had….I’m done romanticizing the ‘old is domestic’ thing. It’s cute for a minute and then it’s not.”

She added that she just learned to think about who she is and what she wants.

“You meet someone who’s amazing and wants to marry you, and there’s nothing wrong with that,” she added. “If there’s nothing wrong, then why wouldn’t you do it? You love them and that’s what you do.”

She continued, “It’s a hard question to ask yourself: ‘Maybe I don’t want the thing that I’m supposed to want, a marriage, children, any of it. I don’t know if I want that at all.’ That’s an uncomfortable question, especially for a woman to ask herself.”
